The Prando family: 70 years in earth moving
In 1947, Luigi Prando opened his small workshop, reparing bikes and motorbikes. This is the turbulent period after the war and the will to start out afresh is firmly fixed in the heart and mind of Luigi who, in the 60s had already managed to change location and expand on new services, also dedicating himself to the repair of cars and agricultural machinery. During that period, the business lead moves on to Antonio, Luigi’s son, and is aiming at new objectives.
In 1975, the Prando workshop moved to its current premises of Via Carlo Alberto della Chiesa in Aosta, and changed name to Operval.
The third Prando generation joined the company in 2005, with Andrea and Lorenzo who, particularly interested in electronics, took on the challenge of making remote controlled earth moving vehicles. The result is the PL10 Dumper, a mini transporter driven by remote control which earned itself a huge success at the Munich fair in Germany in 2016, and at the SaMoTer of Verona in 2017.
Operval’s constant attachment to the territory contributed towards the creation of versatile machinery with exceptional manoeuvrability, able to operate over all types of terrain, perfectly satisfying the requirements of those who work in the field of earth moving.
Always ready to take on new challenges, Operval wishes to write important chapters in the history of the technical development of earth moving, making of innovation a tradition of the brand.
Vehicles which are ever more efficient and safe, with ever more dedicated technical solutions; these are the distinctive features with which Operval wishes to design the future of earth moving.
Transparency, seriousness and reliability have always been the founding and characterizing values of the Operval group and all its staff
