2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that the site saves in your browser. Similar tools, such as the browser’s local storage (localStorage), work in the same way and are treated as cookies in this policy.

3. Which cookies we use and why

Technical cookies (necessary)

They are needed for the Site to work and to remember your choices. They do not require consent and cannot be switched off from the banner.

  • consently (cookie) and consently-gpp-string (browser local storage), by Consently: they remember your cookie preferences. Duration: 12 months.
  • wp-wpml_current_language (cookie): it remembers the language in which you are reading the Site. Duration: 1 day.
  • wp-postpass_… (cookie): it is saved only if you enter the password of the Private area, so that you are not asked for it on every page. Duration: 10 days.

Statistics cookies (only with your consent)

We use Google Analytics 4 to know, in aggregate form, how many people visit the Site and which pages they view. Google Analytics uses pseudonymous identifiers and processes the IP address; we do not use this data for advertising or to profile you.

  • _ga, _ga_FY7VVSSLQD (Google Analytics): they distinguish visitors and sessions. Duration: up to 13 months.

Third-party content (only with your consent to the “Social” category)

The videos on the Site are hosted by YouTube (domain youtube-nocookie.com) and the maps are provided by Google Maps. They are loaded only when you press the button to view them, or straight away if you have accepted this category in the banner. At that point Google may save cookies or data in your browser according to its own policy.

We do not use profiling cookies or advertising.

The complete and up-to-date list of cookies, with category, domain, duration and purpose, is in the table below:

4. Third parties and data transfers

Google may transfer data to the United States; the transfer takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, to which Google adheres, and of the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

5. Your choices

  • On your first visit you can accept everything, reject everything or choose category by category. If you reject, only technical cookies remain active.
  • You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie preferences” button at the bottom of every page.
  • You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge explain how in their guides.
  • To switch off Google Analytics on all websites: Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Google and YouTube privacy settings: myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy.

Your choice is remembered for 12 months; after that you will be asked again. We will ask you sooner if the cookies used by the Site change significantly.

The Site does not respond to browsers’ “Do Not Track” signal: non-technical cookies stay off in any case until you accept them.

6. Your rights

You can ask at any time for access to your data, for its correction or deletion, for the restriction of processing, or object to it, by writing to the address given in point 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or with the authority of your country of residence.

7. Changes to this policy
